TRANSCUTANEOUS OXYGEN PARTIAL PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS ON HEALTHY ADULTS SUBJECTED TO STRESS
Transcutaneous oxygen pressure (TcPO-2) measurements were made on healthy, not particularly trained adults when exposed to stress situations. Stressors were physical (heavy work) or psychic (playing chess) and a combination of both factors (arduous work in a pressurized suit). Special equipment was developed for transmitting measured data (telemetry system), thus permitting immediate intervention if stress indicators get manifest.
