Kurzbeschreibung

The matter under investigation here, in dynamo theory, is whether a current in an electricity conducting continuum can produce a magnetic field, i.e. whether the system can work as a self-incited generator. It is shown that there is no axially symmetrical dynamo, for the formal reason that an equation must be filled for the poloid part alone. Effects preventing such a separation could lead to the assumption that there are dynamo solutions with a simple symmetry.
