Kurzbeschreibung

Between 1983 and 1985 four mesoscale atmospheric dispersion experiments have been performed in the Northern Valley of Upper Rhine. The performance of the experiments was as follows: - tracking of tetroons (constant level balloons) by radar up to distances of 111 km. - release of SF-6 tracer from 100 m or 140 m height and downwind sampling at ground level in 52 different positions up to distance of 66 km during six or seven periods of 30 minutes each. - meteorological measurements by a 200 m tower and by radiosounding The experimental results have been analyzed with regard to the following: - transport trajectories - horizontal dispersion parameter - Dependence of the horizontal dispersion parameters on sampling time.
