Abstract

The choice of a material for the manufacturing of solar receivers must obey two criteria of quality: excellent optical properties which characterize its conversion efficiency, a great physicochemical stability which characterizes its lifespan. It also must be easy to produce at a lesser cost. Experiments carried out on chromium metal show that it is well adapted for this purpose.
