Kurzbeschreibung

The correlation g(sigma, p, rho-iota, rho-nu) between surface tension, vapour pressure and the density of liquid and vapour has been investigated for 26 liquids. The function g represents the state for a two- phase system with a free phase limit area and describes the phase transition following the principle of the corresponding states of real gases. According to this principle, g is considered as dependent on the density variables rho-iota/rho-nu and given as a function of the distance to the critical point. By knowing g, one can calculate the surface tension of a fluid from the data of the vapour pressure and density alone.
