INTEGRATING DIFFERENT METHODS OF ENERGY SAVING IN THE DOMESTIC ENVIRONMENT
As its title suggests, the main aim of this research was to carry out an exhaustive study of the various possibilities of saving energy in one-family dwellings. To this end the programme provided for the construction of two houses and a particularly detailed study of their thermal properties. The programme provided for the installation of a large number of heating systems using conventional or alternative forms of energy in these two houses, which were designed to be energy saving. Subsequently these different systems were to be studied under realistic weather conditions because they would be in the two houses built on the site of the Limelette Experimental Station.
