COUNCIL DIRECTIVE OF 3 SEPTEMBER 1984 LAYING DOWN BASIC MEASURES FOR THE RADIATION PROTECTION OF PERSONS UNDERGOING MEDICAL EXAMINATION OR TREATMENT
On 2 February 1959, the Council adopted directives establishing basic safety standards for the health of the general public and workers against the dangers arising from ionizing radiations. These directives were modified partially by the Directives of 5 March 1962, 27 October 1966, 1 June 1976 and 15 July 1980. The present edition reproduces the complete text of the Directive amending Directive 80/836/Euratom as regards the basic safety standards for the health protection of the general public and workers against the dangers of ionizing radiation, adopted by the Council on 3 September 1984. The first Directive laying down basic measures for the radiation protection of persons undergoing medical examination or treatment, adopted by the Council on 3 September 1984 is also given in this report.
