Abstract

The report describes the work for certification of total calcium in two lyophilized samples of human serum. Homogeneity and stability tests were carried out and are presented in the report. The concentration of calcium in each sample of the reconstituted serum is certified. Methods of analysis included a Reference Method and slight modifications thereof, both being by flame atomic absorption spectrometry, isotape dilution mass spectrometry, neutron activation analysis, and inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry.
