ACCESSIBILITY TO THE SECOND STABILITY REGIME OF HIGH N BALLOONING MODES
Using an approximation of the stability diagram for the high N ballooning modes calculated for axisymmetric configuration and circular section, it is shown that a flat current density profile permits to penetrate into the second stability domain and leads to beta values higher than those obtained with usual peaked current density profiles.
