Résumé

The study deals with a solar system for refrigeration specially designed for remote areas. The thermodynamic cycle, using an ammonia - water absorption, only consumes thermal energy and is easy and cheap to produce by direct conversion of Solar radiation. In order to make a self-operating system, an engine is located between the boiler (at high pressure) and the absorber (at low pressure). It expands ammonia vapour and produces mechanical energy to run the solution pump. The simplicity of the system is maximal; there is no thermal loop and no thermal storage between the collectors and the boiler of the absorption machine, i.e. the ammonia - water mixture boils directly inside the Solar Collectors.
