Abstract

Magnetic, diamagnetic, density and temperature measurements are used to calculate poloidal beta (beta) by three independent methods. Comparison studies are made for a variety of plasma discharges in JET and error estimates are given. The results from the three methods are in good agreement for pulses with currents above 2 MA.
