Abstract

The analyses made so far on the JET data permit some tentative conclusions to be made. A range of temperatures and temperature gradients are obtained for different plasma conditions. The profile shape, represented by T-eo/T-ay or the slope of "DEL"T-e/T-e, also shows considerable variation but appears to be correlated with q-edge. A Gaussian fit to the profile shape outside q = 1 works well only at low and moderate values of the q-edge. The changes in profile shape with additional heating are small, and more detailed analysis is required to determine their cause. Further work on these points is in progress.
