Abstract

This report gives details of the BCR certification campaign on RMs 130 and 131 which are two reference materials of defined particle size distribution. The "mass fraction of particles undersize" versus "equivalent volume diameter" has been certified via a sieving method employed previously for RM 68 and described in Appendix 1 of this report. Many detailed data and results are given, and the statistical methods employed are described fully. Data and results presented in this report form the basis of the "Certificates of Measurement" of cumulative particle size distributions for RMs 130 and 131, the approximate size ranges of which are 50 to 220 um and 480 to 1800 um respectively.
