A NEW DIVERTOR PLATES DESIGN CONCEPT FOR THE DOUBLE NULL NET CONFIGURATION
A new concept is proposed for the divertor plates which allows to couple a simple design with the possibility of an easy maintenance of the two divertor regions. Instead of incorporating the divertor region in cassettes which can be horizontally removed, the divertor plates of the upper and lower region are coupled together with the inboard first wall in such a way to realize inboard protective panels, which can be removed and substituted from the top of the reactor.
