PERFORMANCE MONITORING OF SOLAR HEATING INSTALLATIONS IN BUILDINGS
The principal objective of the "Performance Monitoring Group" has consisted in drawing conclusions from the probable benefits obtainable from solar heating systems in different zones of the EEC. At the start of the present contract, four main objectives have been identified: + To elaborate formulae permitting the reassembly in a uniform manner the parameters of installation, the costs and the performance results of different types of installation. + To publish the performance of domestic installations of solar heating in the EEC, including active and passive heating installations and installations of sanitary hot water. + To provide guidelines for continuing experimentation of installations of solar heating with the aim of ensuring uniformity of approach, reliability and precision of results. + To establish criteria for the selection of experimental installations of the second generation and to make recommendations on the aptitude of different types of installation based on the results of performances.
