SYSTEMS RELIABILITY BENCHMARK EXERCISE - PART II - CONTRIBUTIONS BY THE PARTICIPANTS
This part of the report is devoted to the documentation of the single contributions by the participant teams. These have been requested to summarize the works produced during the different RBE phases with respect to methods, extent and results of the analysis performed. Moreover, they were invited to point out the particular experience gained with the exercise and to express their comments on the overall results. In this way the general conclusions agreed at the RBE meetings could have been enriched by the multiplicity of the single points of view. In collecting the papers editorial interventions have been directed towards elimination of duplications of information, especially with respect to rules, drawings, data etc. already published in the first part of the report and related appendices; also any reference to RBE intermediate working documents has been avoided. When necessary editorial comments about some deviations from commonly agreed rules or conclusions are presented as footnotes labelled with E.C. The principal peculiarities of the different contributions have already been enlightened in Part I of the final report, so that the reader is referred to chapters 2 and 3 of part I as far as qualitative analysis and F.T. modelling and evaluation are respectively concerned. As appendix a particular review of the different approaches to the Common Cause Failure problem is attached, which has been performed in view of the subsequently scheduled similar exercise on this particular topic.
