DEVELOPMENT OF STANDARD TEST PROCEDURES FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THE LONG TERM THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF SOLAR DOMESTIC HOT WATER SYSTEMS. A CONCERTED ACTION OF THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES
The paper gives an overview of the research activities in Europe for the development of a long term thermal performance prediction procedure, based on short term experiments. The activities in the national laboratories and at the Joint Research Centre are integrated in a concerted action directed by the J.R.C. The different approaches in Europe are reviewed and the main problems are discussed. Also a synthesis of the experimental work programme at the Joint Research Centre is given.
