Abstract

The calibration of the neutron source in the EURACOS installation was performed by means of modelling the geometrical configuration with the Monte Carlo code TIMOC and a comparison with experimental activation measurements. The emission of neutrons reached 6.12 X 10**11n/sec with a cosinuidal radial profile at full reactor power. Final results of activation measurements are reported for 32-S(n,p)32-P, 115-In(n,n**$8I) 115-Inm, Rh103(n,n**$8I)Rh103 and 197-Au(n,gamma) 198-Au reactions in the iron (145 X 1456 X 130 cm**3) assembly and for 32-S(n,p)32-P, 58-Ni(n,p)58-Co and 197-Au(n,gamma)198-Au for penetrations up to 362.2 cm in sodium.
