PROCESSES FOR HYDROGEN PRODUCTION - TECHNOLOGIES AND SPIN-OFFS
The development of the research on thermochemical hydrogen production at the JRC Ispra is described, in the three main phases: laboratory scale demonstration, definition of technological processes, construction and operation of a demonstration circuit for thermal decomposition of sulphuric acid. Main results are given, and the spin-offs mentioned: materials for sulphuric acid handling, a new process for flue gas desulphurization.
