Abstract

Thermodynamic properties such as vapour pressures, heat capacities and enthalpies of formation for Un(s), PuN(s) and U,PuN(s) are critically evaluated. From the assessed values of the heat capacity and S degrees 298-, the thermal functions, i.e. H degrees T--H degrees 298-, S degrees T- and (G degrees T--H degrees 298-)/T are calculated for Un(s), PuN(s) and (U-0.8Pu-0.2)N(s). The thermodynamic functions for the formation, DELTA-H degrees f,T,- DELTA-S degrees f,T- and DELTA-G degrees f,T- of UN(s), PuN(s) and (U-0.8Pu-0.2)N(s) are also obtained from the assessed values of the thermal functions and DELTA-H degrees f,298-.
