Abstract

A novel technique for evaluating the liquid density at the melting point was applied to both UC and UC-2. In the case of UC an existing theoretical proposal was confirmed, in the case of UC-2 a first value was elaborated. Existing and new data are shown in Figure 2. For UC, rho-L = 10000 +- 200 kg/m**3 and for UC-2, rho-L = 7500 +- 400 kg/m**3.
