PROGRESS TOWARDS ION TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT IN THE TCA TOKAMAK BY COLLECTIVE THOMSON SCATTERING OF FAR INFRARED LASER RADIATION
The development of powerful far infrared lasers and sensitive broad band receiver systems has reached a stage where the requirements of a T-i measurement by collective Thomson scattering from thermal density fluctuations can be fulfilled. A system with appropriate specifications is being installed at the TCA Tokamak and more results are to be expected by the end of this year.
