Abstract

The development of powerful far infrared lasers and sensitive broad band receiver systems has reached a stage where the requirements of a T-i measurement by collective Thomson scattering from thermal density fluctuations can be fulfilled. A system with appropriate specifications is being installed at the TCA Tokamak and more results are to be expected by the end of this year.
