APPLICATION OF MOIRE WITH COHERENT AND NON-COHERENT LIGHT TO DYNAMIC MEASUREMENTS OF DEFORMATION UP TO 10 3 S -1 STRAIN RATE
For the research on the effects of size and shape on the constitutive equation of AISI 316, the method of Moire has been applied on large (80 x 20 mm) and small (0.3 mm) specimens. We have compared the measurements obtained with the Moire technique with other optical measurements of displacement and with strain gauge records in static and dynamics. Fast cameras have been used at framing rate up to 10**5 per second in connection with Hopkinson's bar experiments. Full-field evaluation of strain has been performed using a calculation code.
