Abstract

A modelling method of accident consequence processes within the scope of the system identification by statistical inference is presented. The prior knowledge and expert information with the data of experience are formally dealt with in the same context: the information space. The model identification and the parameter estimation is provided by following a Bayesian approach: the Zellner approach. Performances of the method are the classification of the variables according to their importance in the physical process and the probabilistic assessment on the consequence of the accident.
