Abstract

Micropropagation of strawberries was started in Sweden in the late sixties by Lennart Nilsson and was later taken up by Huntrieser at our department. Senga Sengana and Zefyr were micropropagated in the autumn 1979. Runners from these plants were planted out in field experiments in 1980 and 1981 in order to compare them with conventionally propagated material. The results of these experiments are recorded here.
