Abstract

Electron Cyclotron Emission (ECE) measured on FT tokamak 1- is at black-body level for those frequencies at which plasma is optically thick, but can be suprathermal at the ones for which plasma is optically thin. A numerical code has been developed in order to simulate suprathermal emission spectra measured during radiofrequency heating on FT, and from this an estimate has been obtained of the contribution of suprathermals to plasma pressure and current.
