Abstract

It is shown that current driven drift modes may be responsible for density fluctuations observed during ZT- 40M discharges and, more generally, for the dynamo mechanism in RFP. Then, assuming that the transport in RFP be dominated by this instability, a scaling law for T is obtained which is in good agreement with the experimental results.
