SUL CONFINAMENTO DEGLI ELETTRONI SOPRATERMICI IN FT
During the Lower Hybrid Heating experiment on FT in the electron mode, important suprathermal electron populations have been produced. The relaxation of such populations after the end of the radiofrequency pulse has been studied, and the following results have been obtained: 1) the perpendicular momentum relaxed, i.e. the suprathermals were cooled in about 20 msec.; 2) the cooled tail was very well confined: its depletion took hundreds of milliseconds, while the bulk particles confinement time was 11 msec. The second result seems to indicate that anomalous transport is dominated by cross-field transport.
