DISEASE IN FARM LIVESTOCK - ECONOMICS AND POLICY
This publication comprises the proceedings of a symposium which brought together veterinarians, agricultural economists and administrators responsible for resource allocation in the animal health field. The meeting reviewed the problems of disease facing the livestock industry and elaborated a framework for the economic analysis of disease. A concluding session produced a list of specific areas for further research endeavour. This meeting, the first of its kind in Europe, was financed by the Commission of the European Communities in the framework of the Community programme for the Coordination of Agricultural Research.
