SCHEME FOR THE DETECTION AND DIAGNOSIS OF THE RING ROT BACTERIUM CORYNEBACTERIUM SEPEDONICUM F1 IN BATCHES OF POTATOR TUBERS
tubers The scheme described has been developed by Community scientists from each Member State over a period of five years. It describes the various stages involved in the detection and diagnosis of the ring rot bacterium Corynebacterium sepedonicum by means of immunofluorescence testing, Gram staining and the eggplant test. Procedures for confirmatory tests and positive identification are also given. Information on the preparation of various media and eggplant culture together with further details on the carrying out of individual parts of the scheme are given in the appendices.
