THERMAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF PASSIVE AND HYBRID SYSTEMS USING A LOW COST METHODOLOGY
A low cost methodology is used to evaluate the thermal performance of two retrofitted schools with solar air heaters. The aim of the work was to assess performances, energy savings and cost-effectiveness of various retrofit measures and to make suggestion for improvements. Passive solar gains were calculated using a subtractive approach. The results of short time monitored periods are reported.
