FEEDBACK CONTROL OF ROTATING RESISTIVE MODES
To gain information for the design of practical feedback schemes, we analyse in the time domain the response of nonlinear resistive modes to boundary conditions imposed by external conductors and resistive vessel. Newly derived explicit dynamical equations describe the nonlinear evolution of the tearing mode island width and frequency of rotation. These equations are appropriate to explain quantitatively previous experimental and theoretical results.
