CONTROLLED FUSION AND PLASMA PHYSICS
Twelve papers were presented at the 14th European Conference on controlled fusion and plasma physics. Some discuss sawtooth heat pulse diffusion and possible evidence of a magnetic trigger for the sawtooth crash in the ohmic discharges of FT, confinement of ohmically heated plasma, and 2-D simulations of laser accelerated thin foils, or present 2-D numerical studies of non- uniformly irradiated thin shell targets, and measurements of triton burn-up in low q discharges in the FT Tokamak. Others deal with ion-sound parametric decays of lower hybrid waves, among other aspects of research on the FT.
