Abstract

The Tokamak division contributions consist of four reports. The first discusses the ECRH programme with high-field-side launch on the DITE tokamak, and the second presents a series of experiments to verify the existence of the RF driven current on CLEO. The experimental current drive efficiency was compared to theoretical predictions and it was shown that the sawtooth activity is influenced by the heating and current drive, whereas the bootstrap current appears to be negligible. The last two papers deal with MHD stability, in JET with peaked pressure and in tokamaks with low central q.
