X-RAY SPECTROSCOPY OF TOKAMAKS
A review of the X-ray spectroscopic methods and techniques used to diagnose tokamak plasmas is presented. Some experimental examples from the JET tokamak are given. Continuum and spectral line emission processes, plasma processes affecting spectral line shapes and the position lines, plus X-ray detectors and methods of X-ray wavelength dispersion are discussed.
