NEOCLASSICAL CURRENT AND TRANSPORT IN AUXILIARY HEATED TOKAMAKS
A generalized Ohm's law is derived which includes the neoclassical Spitzer current (Spitzer plus trapped- particle effects), the Pfirsch-Schl"uter current, the bootstrap current, and the fast-ion-induced current (or electron shielding current), including trapped-particle effects. Also, the additional neoclassical radial transport induced by the parallel momentum and heat flow inputs from the fast ion tail are determined. Detailed expressions for these transport coefficients are derived from a tokamak in the banana collisionality regime for a magnetic geometry of arbitrary aspect ratio with an elliptical plasma cross section. The magnitudes of the various possible effects are illustrated by calculations for high power auxiliary heating in JET.
