SOME MULTIPHASE FLOW STUDIES FOR LMFBR SAFETY APPLICATIONS. FINAL REPORT FOR THE PERIOD 1980-1985
This report provides a summary of the work performed in the period 1980-1985 under the CEC-JRC fast reactor safety research programme and concerned with the modelling of the transition and post-disassembly phases of hypothetical core disruptive accidents. The topics covered range from stability investigations of general two-phase flow models through some assessment of the USNRC code SIMMER to post-disassembly calculations for a range of initial conditons. Particular attention is paid to phase change modelling and to the modelling of entrainment.
