EXPLOITING THE ELECTRONIC REVOLUTION
Studies made to stimulate the further application of programmable electronic systems are described and summarised. The topics discussed comprise signal processing for core surveillance; local area networks for communication within a plant or process control system; integration of signals from different sensors and automatic decision making; and software. Emphasis is on issues that need to be resolved to increase confidence in programmable electronic systems.
