Abstract

The intercomparison on the calibration of ac-dc transfer standards of voltage and current involved seven laboratories of seven Member States of the European Community. It consisted in the calibration of transfer devices composed of thermal elements of 5 mA, 10 mA and 30 mA and resistors for 10 V, 30 V, 100 V, 300 V and 1000 V. Measurements were done at various frequencies up to 1 MHz. The participants agreed to within 10 ppm for 10 V at low frequency; the differences increased at high voltages and higher frequencies. Differences up to 90 ppm were observed at 100 kHz.
