Abstract

The HYBRID method is used in the calculations of the iron benchmark experiment at EURACOS-II. The saturation activities for the "32"S(n,p)"32"P reaction at different depths in iron block are computed to compare with measurements. At the outer layer of iron block, the HYBRID calculation gives increasingly higher results over the VITAMIN-C multigroup calculation. At the depth of 94 cm, the HYBRID result after normalized, agrees with experimental value to within approx 4% while the VITAMIN-C result is too low by approx 48%.
