Abstract

QUANTITATIVE MEASUREMENTS OF THE PERMEABILITY IN TIM OF A GAS MIXTURE THROUGH POLYMERIC MEMBRANE ARE NECESSARY FOR CERTAIN INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS IN THE ISOLATION FIELD. THE GAS MIXTURE (CO(2) + CFC11 + O(2) + N(2)) TO BE ANALYSED REPRESENTS THE RELEASE PRODUCT OF THE POLYURETHANE FOAM THE QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION WAS PERFORMED ON THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENTS : CO(2) AND CFC11 (CHLORO-FLUORO-CARBON 11 OR FREON 11). A MATHEMATICAL CALCULATION TECHNIQUE WAS USED CORRELATING THE SIGNAL HEIGHTS MEASURED WITH THE PARTIAL PRESSURE IN THE STANDARD AND APPLYING THE POLYNOMIAL APPROXIMATION ACCORDING TO THE LEAST SQUARE METHOD AND THE CHEBYCHEV POLYNOMIALS FOR DISCRETE INTERVALS.
