Riassunto

FOUR MESOSCALE ATMOSPHERIC DISPERSION EXPERIMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT IN THE VALLEY OF THE UPPER RHINE. THESE EXPERIMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT AS FOLLOWS : - TRACING OF TETROONS (CONSTANT LEVEL BALLOONS) BY RADAR UP TO DISTANCES OF 110 KMS. - RELEASE OF ATMOSPHERIC TRACER {SF(6)} FROM 100 OR 140M HEIGHT, AND DOWNWIND SAMPLING AT GROUND LEVEL UP TO A DISTANCE OF 50 KMS FROM SOURCE; - METEOROLOGICAL MEASUREMENTS BY RADIOSOUNDING AND BY A 200M HIGH METEO TOWER. THE DATA OBTAINED WAS ANALYSED WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING: - TRANSPORT TRAJECTORIES; - HORIZONTAL DISPERSION; - DEPENDENCE OF THE HORIZONTAL DISPERSION PARAMETER ON SAMPLING TIME. AS WELL AS DESCRIBING THE EXPERIMENTS, THIS PAPER PRESENTS A FIRST EVALUATION OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED.
