Abstract

NINE PAPERS WERE PRESENTED ON ASDEX PLASMAS. THE FIRST THREE PAPERS DEAL WITH CHARGE EXCHANGE SPECTROSCOPY OF HIGHLY IONISED IONS IN ASDEX PLASMAS, SPECTROSCOPY MEASUREMENT OF ION TEMPERATURE IN ASDEX, AND THE MEASUREMENT OF THE ABSOLUTE NEUTRON YIELD OF ASDEX AND NUCLEAR EMULSION PLATES. THIS IS FOLLOWED BY DISCUSSIONS ON THE INTERPRETATION OF NEUTRON RATE MEASURMENTS USING THE MR CODE, THE CALCULATION OF NEUTRON PROPAGATION FOR ASDEX, AND THE NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE RESPONSE FUNCTION OF A NUCLEAR EMULSION PLATE. FINALLY MEASUREMENTS OF PROTON AND TRITON SPECTRA IN ASDEX DISCHARGES, THE ADVANTAGES OF A HELIUM BEAM FOR ACTIVE CHARGE EXCHANGE DIAGNOSTICS, AND THE SIMULTANEOUS BACKGROUND MEASUREMENT IN THE ASDEX NEUTRAL PARTICLE DIAGNOSTICS ARE CONSIDERED.
