PROJECT TRIAS EXPERIMENTATIONS EN VUE DE LA REINJECTION DE SAUMURES GEOTHERMALES DANS LES GRES DU TRIAS PROFONDFinancé au titre de: FP1-ENNONUC 3C
After the favourable results achieved in the exploitation of the geothermic aquifer of the Dogger of the Paris Basin, an attempt has been made to exploit the hot waters of the Triassic sandstones, whose extent and temperature make them a very promising target. However, the difficulties which were encountered have led the CEC, the AFME and the BRGM to fund a research project with a view to understanding the factors limiting injection in clay/sandstone aquifers and to defining the necessary conditions for exploitation by twin drilling. The IMRG research team carried out experiments on the percolation of the geothermal fluid through core samples of artificial materials and more or less clayey natural sandstones. The experiments were done in an experimental circuit specially designed for moving from site to site. These investigations have a bearing on the petrology and porology of the material before and after percolation, the course of evolution of the permeability of the materials and the chemical characterisation of the liquid and gaseous phases of the percolation fluid and the particles in suspension. They have made it possible to define a procedure for the treatment of the geothermal fluid prior to its reinjection into the aquifer.
