Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

Abstract

This report contains information concerning occupational hygiene education and training programmes in the EEC. Materials and information were gathered through personal visits by the author to representatives of all 12 Member States of the Community, the World Health Organisation, and the International Labour Office in Geneva. The purpose was to identify those university degree programmes specifically orientated to occupational hygiene. In countries where university degrees are not granted in occupational hygiene, programmes directed towards the training of occupational safety and hygiene specialists were reviewed. In some cases this included visits to Ministries of Labour, research institutes, university programmes orientated towards occupational safety education, consultant groups or professional societies.
