Abstract

Current drive by simultaneous injection of electron cyclotron waves and lower hybrid waves for the control of the current density profile in tokamaks is investigated. It is shown that this is a flexible method for large changes of q on axis and is, therefore, of relevance for studies on the access to the second stability regime.
