Abstract

The diffusion transport equation of volatile fission products in nuclear fuels in the presence of precipitation, re-solution and radioactive decay is analytically solved for stationary and non-stationary conditions. Comparisons are made of exact solutions with those preliminarily obtained with formally simplified methods; they show excellent agreement.
