Service Communautaire d'Information sur la Recherche et le Développement - CORDIS

Résumé

The aim of this meeting was to discuss the problems involved in providing information and training in radiological protection for workers exposed to radiation, for intervention personnel and for workers liable to be engaged in any activity involving ionising radiation. In this context particular emphasis is placed on the need for coordination of basic training with 1992 in view. It seems opportune to introduce technical training in radiation protection in the course of secondary education. The Commission is invited (i) to step up its efforts to ensure that appropriate information and training is given in all companies to workers exposed to ionising radiation, and (ii) to produce guides for specific categories of workers, such as personnel involved in the transport of radioactive material or personnel required to coordinate measures to cope with a radiological emergency.
