UNTERSUCHUNG UEBER DAS VERHALTEN VON VORGERECKTEN LITZENSEILEN IM SCHACHTFOERDERBETRIEB. II
Prestretching of the ropes anticipates much of the permanent elongation occurring during the initial phase of operation. This procedure helps to reduce interruptions and expenditure for shortening the ropes at attachments, as well as to reduce previous difficulties during the start-up period. The frequently occurring problems of balancing rope loads on multirope installations are eliminated when using prestretched ropes. The expected extension of operational life of prestretched ropes is confirmed. The provision of magnetic rope markers for contact-free measurement of local rope elongations was continued. The new system no longer relies on coils, but uses Hall effect sensors instead. For newly installed winding ropes elongations between 0.4% and 0.8% were expected during the first operational phase; the required measuring accuracy was attained.
