BROCHURE-ARGUMENTATION ON FIRE SAFETY OF STEEL CONSTRUCTIONS
The report relates the causes of deaths and property/financial losses in case of fire to the structure of buildings and concludes that the design of fire proof buildings requires a systematic integrated approach. The risk of fire and the measures to overcome it are analysed, and a cost-benefit approach outlined. The assessment of the level of structural fire resistance requirements is discussed and steel structures are considered in greater detail.
